In a compelling interview with the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, a Russian drone crew commander, known by the call sign “Pitbull,” delved into the capabilities and operational tactics surrounding the KUB strike drone system. This unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is currently deployed by units of Russia’s Zapad grouping of forces, showcasing a blend of advanced technology and tactical flexibility.

Capabilities of the KUB Strike Drone

The KUB strike UAV boasts an impressive range of up to 50 kilometers, allowing it to engage diverse targets without exposing its operators to direct threats. This operational distance has made the KUB an appealing choice for modern warfare scenarios, where reaching and neutralizing enemy assets from a safe range is paramount. With a reported operational range exceeding 100 kilometers, the KUB-10ME extends the capabilities of its predecessor, offering even greater striking power and tactical flexibility.
